Little Tapestries - Art Dyeko
Pendant Choker Necklace
(Detailed Images, Full Image)

This LITTLE TAPESTRIES - Art Dyeko pendant choker necklace. I wanted to create something that was a reflection of the art deco Chrysler Building in New York City. I found a photo of a office door, within inset wood and metal wire. The door was flanked on either side by a stained glass panel.
In this piece, I used the bead weaving technique Right Angle Weave. In parts, I resorted to variations, including cubic RAW and layered RAW. In a few spots, I have a laddered stitched row of beads. The components were bead-embroidered onto the backdrop. The beads used were Miyuki delicas. The wire work is wire weaving, including using wire weaving to channel set pyrite cabochons. I also used Austrian crystal cubes and faceted rounds. The wire is sterling silver. The chain is sterling silver with a simple figure 8 lobster claw. Strung with Fireline.
The necklace chain allows this piece to be adjustable, between 16 and 19". The clasp is a simple hook and eye clasp.
The piece is meant to be worn close to the neck. However, it can easily function as a longer piece, as well.

This LITTLE TAPESTRIES - ART DYEKO piece is a one of a kind. If you would like something similar, we can work together to design it.
